Initial Value/boundary Value Problems for Fractional Diffusion-wave Equations and Applications to Some Inverse Problems
We consider initial value/boundary value problems for fractional diffusion-wave equation: ∂ α t u(x, t) = Lu(x, t), where 0 < α ≤ 2, where L is a symmetric uniformly elliptic operator with t-independent smooth coefficients. First we establish the unique existence of ths weak solutions and the asymptotic behaviour as the time t goes to ∞ and the proofs are based on the eigenfunction expansions. ...
متن کاملMODIFIED K-STEP METHOD FOR SOLVING FUZZY INITIAL VALUE PROBLEMS
We are concerned with the development of a K−step method for the numerical solution of fuzzy initial value problems. Convergence and stability of the method are also proved in detail. Moreover, a specific method of order 4 is found. The numerical results show that the proposed fourth order method is efficient for solving fuzzy differential equations.
متن کاملInitial value problems for second order hybrid fuzzy differential equations
Usage of fuzzy differential equations (FDEs) is a natural way to model dynamical systems under possibilistic uncertainty. We consider second order hybrid fuzzy differentia
متن کاملComplexity of Initial Value Problems
How complex could the solution be to an initial value problem given by a polynomial-time computable function? This question can be given a natural and precise sense in computational complexity theory. In this note, we put together several results stating that more conditions on the problem make the solution simpler. In particular, Lipschitz continuity alone may leave the solution polynomial-spa...
